I was wondering what this was…

I just wanted to thank Anna Maria Horner for identifying a flower I had been wondering about. I snapped this on a trip to Charleston, and had no idea what it was.

Turns out it's a blue passion flower. I love the weirdness of it. The tendrils, the spots, the odd symmetry, the colors. The creativity of the Creator is continually amazing to me.

(I just did more reading on this at wiki, and thought the naming and symbolism was interesting. Check out the paragraph on etymology at this link if you want to know more)
