out to the beach

We drive through farm country to get to the ocean. Not sure what's growing here, as we were whizzing by pretty fast when I shot this out the window. I'm kinda surprised it's even slightly in focus.
Broccoli, cauliflower, artichokes, strawberries, flowers…all of these grow in the surrounding areas. There's also vineyards galore and ranches sprawling over the hills. But my post header promised some beach, didn't it?
There's a stretch of beach that you can drive onto…ocean on one side, rolling dunes on the other…
We kicked off our shoes and strolled along, looking for treasure.
Camper? Hearse? Didn't see a funeral happening, so I'm pretty sure it's the former.
Wrapped up the afternoon with lunch in an old train car diner.

I am always amazed at your beautiful photography. Got a pretty good laugh out of the hearse. Pretty weird huh?
When she says we were driving fast...she meant 60 mph in a 55 mph zone...whoopie [sarcasm] :)
Love the beach pictures.
